Audio CD

Audio CD are CDDA (Compact Disc Digital Audio) formatted and not ISO. So they must be ripped and compress into MP3 using programs as KAudioCreator or K3b. Some file managers are able to show the tracks, copy them to an other place performs also ripping.

The song titles can be obtained automatically over Internet via CDDB (Compact Disc Data Base) and be used in the filenames. CDDB assumes that this is legal since they provide just the song titles and nothing more. The default setting puts the songs in ~/mp3.

To get automatically the CD cover as picture (therefore might be not legal) albumart can be used. To start albumart type: albumart-qt
