Working under a graphical user interface allows to open a terminal (console). There are different terminals available for that and probably every desktop environment installs one.
qterminal is the recommended lxqt terminal but can also be considered a standalone application
xterm is the classic one for X11 it is rather ugly and ugly menu can be poped up using Ctrl Right-Mouse click
konsole comes with KDE but is suitable to be installed also in other desktop environments. It uses profiles to manage settings. Adding Activating Window Title Set by Shell: %w is recommended to get more information on running commands inside konsole as when under Gentoo emerging a lot.
