Chapter 2. Raspberry

The very big success of the Raspberry PI has triggered lot of different hardware variants. It uses SoC (System on Chip) from Broadcom having an ARM CPU, GPU and Peripherals.

The hardware variants require different current ratings. The current depends obviously also on what gets attached (USB and shields). The voltage is 5V, however 5.1V seems to be the preferred value to allow some voltage drop on the power-supplies cable.
