genservice

A simple console tool for the every day commands to keep a gentoo linux computer up to date. Commands can be started by single key strokes. Genservice allows you also to do backups of user selected files (config files in /etc). It is just a python script and a man page. Download the latest version genservice-*.*.tar.gz

Install my linursoverlay
Since it is not an official ebuild you must unmask it. Type: echo "app-portage/genservice ~x86" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
Type emerge genservice to install it
Type emerge --unmerge genservice to remove it
